Working collaboratively, Carey develops strategies and action plans that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time bound all of which are designed to help owners and CEOs realize their personal and company visions.
Carey received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and his Master’s degree from The Ohio State University. He also received a Diversity Management Certificate from Cornell University ILR. Carey delights in helping businesses benefit from the richness of a diverse and inclusive employee population. He spent more than 35 years in the Human Capital Management industry, consulting throughout the U.S., Australia and Southeast Asia. Over the course of his career, Carey accumulated extensive experience working with executives for start-ups, new companies with accelerated growth plans or mature companies that are challenged to maintain market share in a rapidly evolving economy. His consulting and coaching methodologies improve fiscal management while leveraging leadership and the management team to expand services to the desired target audience.
A small business owner himself, Carey owns The Alternative Board – Northern Colorado which brings business owners and CEOs together monthly to discuss the challenges, issues and opportunities that they confront on a daily basis. Carey’s board members assist each other to develop real life, practical solutions leveraging the power of a peer review board. Carey is a staunch supporter of non-profit organizations and works as a volunteer, donor or board member for several non-profits including Boulder County CareConnect, the Americas for Conservation + Arts, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Las Vegas, Fertile Ground of Atlanta and the Los Angeles Urban League.
